Indoor house plants for added life to your house.
Different people have different talents, and some find even the simple task of keeping indoor house plants alive impossible to achieve, while others have rooms bursting with healthy, flourishing, colourful plants, it just doesn t seem fair does it? Whichever group you belong to, it is difficult not to agree that a variety of indoor bamboo plants can really liven up an otherwise dull corner and fill the room with a fragrant perfume.
So what do you need to do to keep your indoor house plants healthy, or simply alive? Is there some secret society which only green fingered people are allowed to join? Is it really important to know your Hibiscus from your African Violet? Questions, questions. Is it important to know the difference between a potted palm and a fern?
One very important consideration before buying any indoor house plant is where you want to put it. You should be able to ask advice at any garden centre or check out the website, there are always plenty of experts who are willing to share the benefit of their experience and give some friendly, helpful advice.
Whilst some varieties of plants do prefer certain conditions, indoor flowering plants can be quite simple to take care of if you ve chosen carefully. The majority of plants, however, simply need a good supply of light, the correct amount of water (too much can be just as harmful as too little, so if the soils feels damp just leave it) and to be kept out of drafts.
Many indoor flowering plants can be happy outside as well as indoors. One good idea is to simply bring in plants which are in bloom to get the full enjoyment of the flowers and the perfume, and then take them back outside when the flowers have died down and replace them with another if possible.
No, it s not cheating; it s called making the most of your assets. It doesn t really matter whether you are good with indoor house plants or whether they simply shrivel up within a week of your care, one thing that everyone agrees is that it s the quickest and easier way to brighten up an otherwise dull corner of a room. Whether it s the shades of green foliage or the vivid colours of the blooms, any room really can be brought to life by the simple use of a few house plants.
