Essential Flowers for Every Garden

If your dream is to capture the beauty of the English Country Garden one flower is essential, and surprisingly, it’s not the rose. Although hydrangeas were not discovered until the late eighteenth century, they have come to symbolize the country garden more than any other flower. The huge mop head blooms and delicate lace-caps, together with beautiful foliage of the oak leaved varieties mean you can have a spectacular flower garden just by growing hydrangeas in all their different forms.

Hydrangeas grow in most conditions, but if you’re not lucky enough to have a garden you can still get the country garden look in your home by growing the potted variety or using silk hydrangeas in your flower arrangements
